Czy jest sens przedstawiać Jurka Owsiaka? Przecież każdy człowiek dobrego serca go zna.
Pierwszy, nieoficjalny Finał WOŚP zorganizował 3 stycznia 1993 wspólnie z Walterem Chełstowskim. W marcu tego roku obaj panowie założyli Fundację Wielkiej Orkiestry Świątecznej Pomocy, która gra nam do dziś.
Jurek otrzymał wiele nagród, a nawet kilka razy był nominowany do Pokojowej Nagrody Nobla. Ale największa nagrodą jest dla niego wdzięczność. Wdzięczność chorych dzieciaków, ich rodziców, lekarzy pracujących na tysiącach urządzeń zakupionych przez WOŚP. I tak będzie też w 2020 roku.
